#100 days 100 outfits – days 40-60

100 days 100 outfits showing days 40-60

Days 40-60

Where has the time gone.

Today is truthfully day 80 so I am little behind my schedule in updating but that happens. here is what I have learned so far from this exercise.

  • It is possible
  • Highly recommend you shop for some new clothes before you make such a grand statement. I’m just a tad over last years clothes.
  • Highly recommend you do not put on any weight from the previous year. Sadly all of my leather skirts are a tad too tight this year.
  • Weekend photos are always better than weekdays as I’m able to get dressed in better light…and take my time.
  • The pieces that are still in my wardrobe, unworn, I clearly do not like as they haven’t even made the cut when I am desperate for something else.
  • Summer tops work really well with long sleeved t’s under them.
  • I can’t wait to get some new jeans.

It has been illuminating and I love how for the first time, so many of you are talking to me about what I do and giving me encouragement.

Thanks for all of your support and you really should try it. (maybe without the flat lays and photos every day) you will be amazed at what outfits are hiding in your closet.

As the last word, the other downside to this is that I cant just get dressed. There is nothing more annoying than realising that you have almost dressed and you haven’t photographed the outfit. First world problem of the social media kind

The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me. —Ayn Rand

The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me. —Ayn Rand

Too often we focus on what is in our way. What won’t let us get through. What the problem is!

Don’t listen to what other people say. Be the solution in your life. Be the driver and be the architect.

It is time to focus not on what you can’t do, but what you can do.

Lose sight of what is in your way and focus on what will help you.

Stop focusing on the problem and look to the solutions.

Most of the time the only thing stopping you is YOU.

Get out of your own way!

What can you do today to open up those doors to your future?

Conviction is the salvation of the soul

Conviction is the salvation of the soul
Conviction is the salvation of the soul

Watching the Olympics it is clear to all how committed to their sport these elite athletes are. They have singular focus, that for many, would have begun when they were children.

It made me wonder…Exactly where would I be today, if from a young age I had conviction in my actions? That I held firmly to the belief in what I was doing and what I wanted to achieve.

I talk to many people about their plans and their goals and find that often there is doubt. With doubt comes uncertainty and with uncertainty failure.

As the saying goes, if you believe you can you are right. If you believe you can’t you are also right.

Hold tight to your goals and you will get there.

I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear. —Rosa Parks

diminsh fears

Fear is not knowing what the future will hold and being unsure. When we are unsure, we get nervous and can fear the outcome. It can hold us back from moving forward purposely towards our goals.

If you find yourself unsure, ask yourself. “What am I not convinced about?’

Once you have conviction in your actions, all future motion is easy. Fear can keep you stuck in a job, a relationship, a residence even a town.

The minute you find yourself operating from a position of fear look for solutions, make your mind up and move on. Never let life pass you by because you were too afraid to act.

A wise man hears one word and understands two.

A wise man hears one word and understands two. Yiddish Proverb

It is a rare person who listens to all that is said to them. Who weighs up both sides of a conversation and allows the person to whom they are speaking to say all that they have to say.

Open your mind to all that you hear, you just might hear what is not being said.
